2 1/2 year check up

Beck recently had his 2 1/2 year check up and here are his stats:
  • weight 31 lbs
  • height 37 inches - he's officially 1 inch taller than a yard stick!
  • language skills = around a 3 1/2-4 year old - this shouldn't be a surprise as the boy LOVES to talk and has so much to say.  My favorite is when he says "momma, momma look at you," which really means look at him because what he has to tell you is very important.
We're just really thankful that he is happy and healthy and growing like he's suppose to!

Ocean City Boardwalk

While in Maryland we spent some non-water time on the Boardwalk.  The kids did an amazing job walking almost 3 miles on the boardwalk.  We had forgotten Beck's stroller at home in Brooklyn, and I thought for sure we'd have to buy him one, but he kept up pretty well and did a ton of walking.  So much walking in fact, that we had to stop and take a break for some ice cream!

And check out some fun rides!

Beck sure likes to SIT on rides, but once you get the money out to make it go, he jumps off in a flash!  He's one funny kid.  (I love this picture - he looks like such a big boy with his arm on his knee!)

And we also took some time to relax.

Family Vacation 2008 - The Beach

We all had a great time at the beach!

Beck & Tay ready for some beach fun! (I love Tay's sunglasses)

We spent a lot of time building sand castles, found a few sand crabs and some beautiful sea shells.

Here are a few more pool shots. . .

Family Vacation 2008 - Part 1

Since last year's family vacation to Jamaica ended on a stressful note due to Hurricane Dean, we decided to rent a car and take a road trip to Ocean City, Maryland this year.  Gregor has great memories of Ocean City from trips he took with his family when he was a boy (27 years ago) and we went a few years ago sans children, and had a blast.  The beach was amazing and both our hotel and the town had a lot of family fun activities.  Here are some pictures from the first part of our trip.  I'll be posting more soon.

Beck was so excited to ride in a car because it is such a rare occurrence for him, and both kids were asleep within an hour of  our departure - which never happens when we fly!

Our hotel had a fantastic kids pool and we had a great time on the water slides!

Beach pictures coming soon!
