4th of July

This is what we saw as we came out of the subway station. People doing various tricks on a large trampoline. . .

And there's a hula hoop. We weren't sure if this was also a contest or just for fun, but it was a great opportunity for us to try out our camera on action shots (I also tried out a couple color editing tools on these shots - not sure you can tell here tho)

Mac's not sure what to make of all this action

The pizza place was just a walk up window, so the kids laid out their beach towels and sat on the ground to eat. Gregor got some great shots of them and the painting on the wall made for an interesting background.

Heading home after a fun-filled day with friends!

Brooklyn Bridge Park

Here are some pictures we took a couple of weeks ago at Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO.  Beck loved the boat themed playground, and we stopped in for some yummy chocolate at Jacques Torres Chocolate before heading home.  It was a beautiful day - it was so nice to have a break from the rain that seems to be a daily occurrence around here recently.

My Boys at 2 Months Old

Mac turned 2 months old on June 28th. He is such a sweet baby who likes to kick A LOT! He's easy to smile and giggles while getting dressed because he's so ticklish. At his 2 month appointment he weighed in at 11 lbs and was 23 1/4 inches long.

I was thinking since we didn't have a blog when Becker was a baby I'd include his information at the same age. Below is Beck at 2 months (give or take a couple of days), and this is the day he met his favorite Bunny - who is not so white anymore despite my best efforts. Beck was a sweetheart baby and didn't much like hanging out at home - he really liked to be on the go and would nap for hours in the stroller (Mac not so much). At his 2 month appointment he weighed 9lbs 8 1/4oz and was 23 1/2 inches long.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy in the whole world!

We had a fantastic Father's Day weekend.  It was rainy on Saturday, but weather cleared up for the annual 7th Heaven street fair on Sunday.  We had a lot of fun walking down 7th Avenue checking out all the goods.

We ate ice cream (well, the kids did anyway)

and stopped to check out the dunk tank.

We then headed home and had a relaxing afternoon.

Mac is 1 month old!

I can't believe our little guy is already a month old. Mac is doing really great and sleeping in longer stretches at night. He's still a bit on the smallish side (8 lbs), so per doctors orders we are now supplementing with formula.  We had to do that with Beck too (apparently I produce low-fat milk!)
Here are some recent pictures.

Welcome Mac!

On Tuesday, April 28th at 10:47 pm little MacGregor arrived!  He weighed in at 7 lbs 8 ozs & was 20 inches long.  The delivery was an unexpected c-section, as he was breech - so much for all that yoga & those labor prep classes, but Mom & baby are both doing great!

Here are a couple of Mac's first pictures

First Trip to the Dentist

Beck had his first trip to the dentist recently, and we are very happy to report that his visit went great!  The dentist put in the Cars movie while he counted Beck's teeth & cleaned them, which was a nice distraction.  Beck was the perfect patient, and was very excited to get home to use his new Cars toothbrush!!

Beck was "hiding" - he wasn't too sure he wanted to go to the dentist

"Here I am!"

Here's the patient in the chair waiting for the dentist

"Why do I need a bib? That's so silly"

New Bikes!

With the weather finally warming up (some days anyway), we picked up some new bikes for the kids. We're hoping to have the training wheels off soon!

New Camera = Great Pictures!

I am so excited that we finally got a new camera that I just had to post the first picture we took!

Maternity Fashion Show

video
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to help out some friends who own Bump Brooklyn, a maternity store in Park Slope, and boy was it a lot of fun!  Bump was selected to be the fashion part of Baby Week on WPIX News Channel 11 and needed "models" for the different trimesters.   Being that I'm in my 3rd trimester I was lucky enough to be the biggest "model" on the stage.  It was a great experience and a lot of fun to see how things work behind the scenes at a TV station.  We didn't get much direction on what to do - unless you count, "walk to the black tape and back," so finally the modeling class I took back when I was 10 sure came in handy! :->
